Where does Blue Blood stand now?
Yes, where do we stand currently? What do we offer? But more importantly, what are you actually buying?
You buy:
- A product made from 100% organic cotton or (if we use polyester), 100% recycled polyester.
- All materials are, traceable, certified via GOTS (Global Organic Textile Organisation), the OCS (Organic Content Standard) or the GRS (Global Recycles Standard). All 3 globally accepted and recognized organizations.
- A product produced with the certification of the Fair Wear Organisation. In fact, they are produced as Fair Wear Leader, the highest performance benchmark category of the Fair Wear Foundation!
- A product with the PETA-Approved Vegan quality mark. This indicates that our product is free of animal products and that no animals have been used in the entire production chain (apart from Bodhi, our faithful and photogenic four-legged friend).
- A product that is packaged plastic-free. Both to our distribution center and to you, the consumer. We do package in FSC certified boxes or envelopes.
- And then, the last mile? How do our items get into your hands? The difficult last part of transporting packages from our hubs to their final destinations. Some of the issues of last-mile delivery include minimizing costs, ensuring transparency, increasing efficiency and improving infrastructure, but certainly also the CO2 emissions. We are still bound to the possibilities and developments of courier services. But, with every package we send, we pay attention to the best, most efficient and sustainable way of shipping. And who knows, we might even come ourselves!
